“Energy and persistence conquer all things.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

Become an Energizer Bunny

If you are reading this article, you’re tired, worn down, stressed out, and want more energy for work and life.

SO LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!

How Can I Stop Feeling Tired?

Restore and Renew!

1. Get more sleep!

According to the CDC, an average of ⅓ adults do not get enough sleep.

Avoid wearing your lack of sleep as a badge of honor in the office.

Sleeping 7+ hours can help you restore your energy.

2. Decrease Stress!

The rapper Drake says, “Got a lot of people tryna drain me of my energy.”

Being overstressed can drain your battery.

Look to meditate, decrease phone usage, and take a vacation.

3. Alcohol!

Redbull Vodka can give you energy and make you feel invincible, but alcohol is a depressant.

Alcohol can affect our central nervous system by making us feel lethargic and impact mental health.

4. Food!

Look at what you’re eating and note (literally create a food journal) what foods impact you by making you feel tired, bloated, brain foggy, etc.

Try eliminating some of the foods that have an adverse reaction.

Alternatively, add in more vegetables, healthy fats, and protein.

5. Breathe!

Try breathing these two ways.

The first is a 4-second inhale and a 6-second exhale (more diaphragm activation and less chest movement).

The second way is 5-3-3 breathing. Click here to learn more.

6. Sunlight!

Get out in nature and get in some sunlight!

Be sure to get in daylight in the morning to help wake you up and help optimize your circadian rhythm.

7. Move!

Get your feet moving!

You’re killing the game if you can stack on sunlight and a morning walk.

Moving your body (walking, jogging, strength training, yoga, cycling, pickleball) can give you immediate energy and an adrenaline boost!

Bonus!

Have some fun.

Select the activity, hobby, or social event of your choice and increase the joy in your life!

Tiger Takeaways
