Ways to Boost Energy When Tired

Rock Yourself

We Will Rock You by Queen is a song that always brings the juice and gets the crowd stomping their feet…literally!

We will look at several quick ways to boost your energy and bring the juice when you’re tired.

Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

When it comes to lost energy or tiredness, you want to check a few things on the personal inventory.

How’s your sleep, and how are you managing stress?

You could probably use help in both areas if you’re reading this.

Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

Getting more sleep and decreasing stress will ultimately help you feel less tired. However, for the short term, try implementing these things when tired:

1. Hydrate

Get some more (suitable) fluids in you.

According to Harvard Health, consuming a sufficient amount of fluids in beverages and water-filled food (such as fruits, vegetables, and soup) will help replenish the water your body loses throughout the day and help you maintain your energy.

2. Move It Or Lose It

Getting some steps in, biking, light stretching, etc., is essential for creating energy.

I cannot stress the number of times I’ve felt exhausted mid-afternoon, and instead of just laying around and slogging through the day, I’ve incorporated some kind of movement for 5-15 mins and felt re-energized.

If you feel like you cannot step away from your desk, consider getting a walking treadmill for your desk or the under-desk bike pedal.

3. Get More Sunlight

The sun is our friend, even when it is gray and overcast.

Stepping outside for a few minutes can help boost energy, especially if we’re inside working all day.

Your Next Steps to Boosting Your Energy

This article is short and sweet to keep it simple for you to start incorporating these into your daily life as needed immediately.
